ComputerAidedDesign (CAD) - LEGO

Draw and assemble LEGO parts with CAD software

A CAD-program like Inventor or similar is needed. The students do need prior knowledge to be able to create the LEGO parts with drawings including assembly.

Brief description of the lesson:

1. Students make 3d-parts of three different LEGO-parts.

2. Students make drawings of the LEGO-parts (after "drawingstandard").

3. Students make assembly of the legoparts

The students practice "drawing knowledge" after standards (diemensions, views and so on). They also practice related commands in the CAD-program when they create 3d-parts and drawings in CAD.
