Between 2006 and 2011, we have worked with small group of students in our secondary school (BP Baudelaire) in order to be a part of a French competition called “Olympiades de la physique”. (http://www.odpf.org/).
Every year since 1994, this competition rewards students (of 1S and TS) who work on an original scientific project.
Here are several examples of what students have done during this time.
- 2006: Cardiac pulse sensor.
- 2007: Prove that an outside insulation in a house is more effective than an inside one.
- 2008: Quantifying the aspiration (cycling).
- 2009: Thermal camera.
- 2010: Find the legendary 21cm line of hydrogen produced from the space.
- 2011: Magnetic cannon.
